Transportation

The mission of the Beaufort County School District Office of Transportation is to provide the safest, most efficient and economical transportation possible for the students attending our schools. We plan and track a bus route system that transport more than 12,000 students to and from school each day and oversees the supervision of a staff of certified drivers who operate the 155 state-owned school buses that are maintained by the South Carolina Department of Education, and the 40 route and 12 activity buses that are owned and operated by the district. In addition, the Office of Transportation also schedules and supplies buses for student field trips, athletic events and extracurricular events.
