BEAUFORT – Every Beaufort County School District school will be offering one breakfast and one lunch daily at no charge to all of their students during the 2024-25 school year.
“Last year, we were glad to be able to offer this at 20+ schools, but now we are ecstatic to expand this to all of our schools,” said Superintendent Frank Rodriguez.
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
“This federal program gives us the opportunity to feed every student at no cost to the District,” said district Chief Financial Officer Tonya Crosby. “This is a win-win for our students and the district.”
Parents or guardians who do not want their children to participate in the CEP program may contact Virginia Weekly at 843-322-0806 or virginia.weekly@beaufort.k12.sc.us. Individuals wishing to make a formal appeal may contact Tonya Crosby at tonya.crosby@beaufort.k12.sc.us or by mail at P.O. Box 755, Beaufort, SC 29901.
