Recruitment events bring school leaders and teacher candidates together for interviews

BEAUFORT – Beaufort County School District principals, curriculum coordinators, and lead teachers will be uniting for three recruiting events to interview candidates for classroom teaching jobs:

Special Education Hiring Event (in-person)

Saturday, February 3, 2024 (registration deadline is Thursday, February 1)

9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Beaufort County School District Educational Services Center

2900 Mink Point Blvd., Beaufort SC

Virtual Hiring Event (all disciplines)

Wednesday, February 21, 2024 (registration deadline is Monday, February 19)

1 p.m. to 6 p.m. via Zoom

Hiring Event (in-person, all disciplines)

Saturday, March 2, 2024 (registration deadline is Monday, February 26)

Beaufort County School District boasts the highest starting teacher salary in the state of S.C. About 75 applicants have already pre-registered to meet with school leaders about classroom teaching opportunities for the 2024-25 school year.

“These events are helpful to our schools and also to prospective teachers,” said Talent Acquisition Specialist, Dr. Monique Brown.  “Schools can interview professionals who might be good fits for their students, and prospective teachers can find the best fits for their talents and interests.  And, all of this happens in the same place, at the same time.”

Brown said prospective educators who aren’t able to attend these events can complete an online application to be considered for employment.  Interested persons should visit the school district’s website (beaufortschools.net) and click on the orange “CAREERS” icon.
