Weather Update #3

Beaufort County School District Families and Employees-

As an update to Monday’s communication, both County and local municipalities continue operating under a State of Emergency. The district also has students whose neighborhoods have experienced severe flooding that impedes us from operating buses. 

In consultation with Emergency Management, there is no school tomorrow, Thursday, August 8. It is our intent to open for school on Friday, August 9, but we will confirm by 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, August 8.

The district’s maintenance team is currently in the process of post-storm clean-up at our schools, to include fallen trees and drainage issues.
