Welding Technology Pathway

Title: Welding Technology I, 2, 3, 4
Course Code: 634000CW, 634100CW, 634200CW, 634300CW
Unit: 1 (120 hours) or 2 (240 hours) per course code
Description: Welding Technology is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to effectively perform cutting and welding applications used in the construction industry or in advanced manufacturing. Students will develop proficiency in fundamental safety practices in welding, interpreting drawings, creating computer aided drawings, identifying and using joint designs, efficiently laying out parts for fabrication. This program will provide the students with skills in basic Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), as well as quality control methods.
