Meet Our District Support Staff of the Year

Mrs. Jones Brown is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience dedicated to developing at-risk youth. Holding a master’s degree in Juvenile Behavior, she spent 17 years teaching a high school dropout prevention class in Upstate New York, where she gained invaluable insights into the unique challenges faced by these students. Currently, Mrs. Jones Brown is the Behavior Management Specialist at May River High School where she utilizes her experience in behavioral management and conflict resolution to support students in achieving their goals. She also manages the teacher and student mentor program at May River with the belief that it takes a village to raise our students.

Mrs. Jones Brown firmly believes in leading with kindness and understanding to create a positive environment that empowers young people. Guided by strong moral values and good judgment, she prioritizes confidentiality in all her interactions with students and colleagues. Her "can-do" attitude enables her to effectively collaborate and advocate for the needs of the youth she serves.
