Meet Our District Teacher of the Year

Allison Gallagher, an 8th grade Science teacher in Beaufort County H.E. McCracken Middle School, graduated from the University of Georgia with both a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences and a Master of Education in Middle Grades Education. Allison is an innovative Science teacher with 16 years of experience teaching in Beaufort County. She values building relationships and fostering genuine connections with students and families. Allison is passionate about creating learning environments that promote critical and analytical thinking where all students solve real-world problems that extend beyond the classroom allowing them to build their self-efficacy. As a teacher, Allison advocates for experiential learning that builds foundational skills and background knowledge, allowing students to see their own story within the learning.  Allison is proud beyond words to work in this District, and she is thankful and humbled to work with amazing students, families, colleagues, and administrators every day.
