Request to Display Flyers
The Beaufort County School District works with community organizations to publicize not-for-profit (501c3) services and enrichment programs, events such as PTA/PTO, SIC or Booster Club notices, and school activities which might be of interest to students and their parents.
All request to distribute flyers must be approved through Peachjar, our online resource to manage and distribute flyers directly into the hands of our parents and guardians. Approved content is then available to parents and guardians through the Peahjar portal on your student's school's website.
In an effort to minimize the loss of instruction time associated with the distribution of flyers during school hours, district policy prohibits the distribution of flyers directly to students.
Groups or individuals who would like to distribute information on Peachjar must follow the guidelines outlined below.
Guidelines for Using Our Electronic Flyer System
Each school has its own Peachjar portal where parents can find and view flyers. Click on the Peachjar logo to see the approved flyers for that school.
The district will not approve flyers from for-profit organizations, even if those organizations are offering discounted or free services or products to students and their families. The district will not approve flyers that promote fundraising efforts of non-profit groups. Commercial flyers will not be posted or distributed unless their purpose is to further an approved school activity such as: graduation, class pictures or class rings, or to offer a pre-approved enrichment opportunity to our students.
Flyers will be approved for non-profit organizations after they are reviewed by the district’s Office of Communications.
Groups applying for flyer distribution must submit the following:
- The organization’s full name, address and proof that it is a non-profit by providing an approved 501(c)(3) number; and
- The name, title, e-mail address and telephone number for the person submitting the request on behalf of the organization.
A non-profit group that meets the above requirements must also comply with the following:
- Programs or events must be held within Beaufort County;
- Activities and services must benefit students academically, develop character or improve physical fitness;
- Programs or events must be youth-related or related to youth education;
- Flyers must include information about the organization’s non-profit status;
- Flyers must contain school names only as location information for events held at schools;
- Flyers must clearly display the sponsoring organization’s name and contact information.
- Flyers must not disrupt the educational process, violate the rights of others, include material that is defamatory, invade the privacy of others, infringe on a copyright or use words or images that are obscene, vulgar or indecent; and,
- Because Beaufort County is home to about 6,000 Hispanic students and their families, fllyers must include copies translated into Spanish.
In an effort to keep flyers relevant to parents, Peachjar limits Community Free (Free-For-Free) flyer distribution to one post every 30 days for up to 25 schools per organization. Please note, local community organizations can continue to promote all free programs within a 30-day time period by making sure that one posting contains all activities happening within that 30 days within a multipage flier. The disrict will make exceptions for school groups such as Booster Clubs, Education Foundations and others on a case-by-case basis.

HOW DO I POST A FLYER?
Peachjar manages flyer distribution on behalf of our schools. To post a flyer, organizations must sign up at www.peachjar.com. Once registered, select the desired school(s) for distribution and upload your flyer. The flyer will be submitted for approval and once approved, delivered to parents by email as an embedded image (not a link), then posted to a school's website (click the Peachjar icon) where parents can view the flyer.
Community organizations and enrichment providers ( non-profit) are subject to Peachjar's service fee when they post a flyer to promote/announce an activity or event with a participation fee. A fee may also be applied if the flyer describes an event that is held without charge for the purpose of enticing attendees to buy products or services, or to participate in a fee-based program or activity. The district will not approve flyers from for-profit organizations, even if those organizations are offering discounted or free services or products to students and their families.
Peachjar offers a free community flyer program to organizations promoting a free event or activity that does not entice participants to join a fee-based program or purchase products or services. All flyers submitted for free distribution will be reviewed by Peachjar for verification of eligibility. The program provider may only distribute one time every 30 days, and the flyer duration cannot exceed thirty (30) days.
Peachjar charges outside organizations a fee for this service that is typically much less than the cost paid to copy/print flyers. Organizations can see pricing and discount information on Peachjar's website or contact Peachjar Customer Service for pricing and discount information at 858-997-2117.
