The Board of Education approves Quackenbush Architects + Planners to design a new elementary school in Bluffton on New Riverside Drive. The new school will have the capacity to house approximately 800 students.

The South Carolina Department of Education has invited the public to review the 2023 South Carolina College and Career Ready Mathematics Standards for use in the state’s public schools. Your feedback is requested by June 12.

The Teaching Fellows Program's mission is to recruit talented high school seniors into the teaching profession and help them develop leadership qualities.

Darby Kinsey, Battery Creek High School Class of 2023, was unanimously selected as the inaugural recipient of the Pat Conroy’s Literary Center’s Future Educator Scholarship and awarded the prestigious Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement (CERRA) South Carolina Teaching Fellowship. Congratulations!

The first forum will be in Bluffton High School’s cafeteria at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 26. The second will be at Beaufort High School at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 27.
