The Board of Education approves Quackenbush Architects + Planners to design a new elementary school in Bluffton on New Riverside Drive. The new school will have the capacity to house approximately 800 students.

Darby Kinsey, Battery Creek High School Class of 2023, was unanimously selected as the inaugural recipient of the Pat Conroy’s Literary Center’s Future Educator Scholarship and awarded the prestigious Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement (CERRA) South Carolina Teaching Fellowship.
